Diploma in Food Production

Diploma in Food Production is an 18-month course that delves into various aspects of culinary arts and intends to develop the culinary skills amongst students who aspire to become Chefs and to prepare them for the catering and hospitality industry. Students learn various concepts related to food production, including preparation techniques, cooking methods, kitchen management, food cost control, and more. Theory and practical inputs are provided over a one-year period (2 semesters) followed by Internship experience for 6 months in the hotel industry. The program is offered jointly by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), Noida, and the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi (designated by UGC as a University of Excellence).

Eligibility

Higher Secondary passed (10+2 passed) with English as a subject.
