Mai Institute of Hotel Management is affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), Noida.

National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (Society) was set up in the year 1982 by Govt. of India as an autonomous body for coordinated growth and development of hospitality management education in the country. Initially, the Council was set up in the name of National Board of Studies in Food Management, Catering & Nutrition under the administrative control of Ministry of Agriculture (Dept. Of Food) and subsequently it was transferred to Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India in the year 1984 with renaming as National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology. The Council centrally regulates academics for B.Sc. Hospitality & Hotel Administration and eleven other structured courses of study that are imparted through its wide network of Academic Chapters (affiliated Institutes) all over India, viz Central Institutes of Hotel Management, State Government institutes and Institutes in the PSU as well as private sector.

The Bachelor of Science program in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is offered by NCHMCT and recognized by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. The pass out students of this program will get a JNU Degree. Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi is ranked #1088 in Best Global Universities and ranked #2nd by NIRF in the university category in India.
