The MAIIHM Campus is spread over an area of 3.5 acres, sporting state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities. Fully furnished and well-equipped labs. are the hall mark of this institute, alongside Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, air-conditioned auditorium, multi-purpose hall, board rooms, student dining zone, plush open spaces, outdoor amphitheatre with stage for events and much more.


Food Production Labs
MAIIHM is well equipped to train its students in the art of culinary, intending to nurture professional chefs of tomorrow to provide culinary delight in the world of hospitality.
- The Basic Training Kitchen (BTK) imparts basic food production skills to the first-year students, introducing them to the essence of continental and Indian cuisines.
- The Quantity Training Kitchen (QTK) presents the opportunity for the second-year students to imbibe bulk cooking techniques, based on different regional Indian cuisines.
- The Advance Training Kitchen (ATK), with its specialized equipment, serve to enhance the culinary skills and knowledge of the third-year students in the fine art of cooking and presentation of international cuisine and also to understand some of the modern techniques of cookery.
- The Larder Lab is a specialized kitchen area where students learn about the storage and preparation of perishable foods. It’s a section of the Food Production department responsible for tasks such as butchery, preparation of cold dishes like salads, cold sauces, dressings, and presentation of cold buffets.
- The Bakery & Confectionery Lab. in MAIIHM is divided into two sections – the Bakery section with multi-deck ovens and the air-conditioned Confectionery section. The lab. Provides a fantastic platform for the students to acquire the skills of crafting delightful and artistic creations in breads, cakes, pastries, chocolate confectionery and various Indian and western desserts on their way to becoming professional bakers and confectioners. The lab. is equipped with sophisticated machinery and tools necessary for baking and confectionery, which include electric and convection ovens, dough mixers, proofing cabinets, and chocolate tempering equipment.


Food and Beverage Service Labs
- Training Restaurant & Bar: MAIIHM has a well-equipped Training Restaurant & Bar, where students receive hands-on training and experience in the nuances of service of food and beverages. The Restaurant has an attached Pantry and is connected to the Basic Training Kitchen for simulation of real-world restaurant service from a kitchen. Students will also learn bar operations, preparation of cocktails & mocktails, wine service, etc.
- Open-Air Amphitheatre: The institute has created an additional event space in its premises in the form of an Open-Air Amphitheatre with a performance stage in the lawns, which will provide an opportunity for the students to setup and manage real-life events, in the process, imparting them with learning and skills of banquet setup and buffet service.
- Auditorium/Banquet Hall: The air-conditioned Auditorium inside the institute also doubles up as a Banquet Hall for holding various events and functions, providing the students knowledge and practical skills in function catering.


Front Office Operations Lab
The Front Office Lab. at MAIIHM is a crucial part of the curriculum where students learn the intricacies of front office operations in the hospitality industry. It is a simulation of the Front Desk and Lobby of a Five Star Hotel, featuring a Reception/Information/Cash counter, Bell Desk, Lounge seating, Lobby Manager’s desk, and also providing a separate back-office Reservation section; both the Reception and Reservation desks are provided with computer terminals to train students on PMS (Property Management Systems).


Accommodation Operations (Housekeeping) Labs
The Accommodation Operations Labs. at MAIIHM are designed to provide students with practical training in housekeeping, cleanliness and accommodation management in a hospitality setting.
- Housekeeping Lab.: A well maintained Housekeeping Lab. provides various cleaning equipment and machines, cleaning reagents, demonstrations of various cleaning activities, various types of floorings, fabric displays, chamber maid’s trolley, etc.
- Laundry & Linen Room: MAIIHM boasts of a functional laundry with industrial laundry machines, used for training the students on their operations, and to undertake laundering of house linen and staff uniforms. The Linen Room, complete with storage racks and cupboards has facility of linen exchange window, simulated to give real-life hotel laundry experience to the students.
- Guest Rooms: The institute has created two well designed Guest Rooms – a Double-bedded Room and a Twin-Bedded Room – with attached bathrooms, designed as per the guest rooms found in five-star hotels, with provision all necessary guest amenities in the room and in the washroom. These are designed to provide students with a realistic environment to learn and practice the skills needed for managing various types of hotel accommodations. The students are trained in room cleaning processes and supervision.
- Bed Making Lab.: The Bed Making Lab MAIIHM is a specialized facility where students learn the art and science of bed making, which is a fundamental skill in the hospitality industry. Students practice making beds using industry-standard techniques and materials, such as different types of sheets, duvets, and pillows. This hands-on experience is crucial for students to understand the expectations and responsibilities of housekeeping professionals in the hospitality sector.


Bakery & Confectionery Lab
- Bakery Section: Equipped with multi-deck ovens and other sophisticated machinery, this section allows students to master the art of baking various types of bread and pastries.
- Confectionery Section: An air-conditioned area where students learn to craft cakes, chocolates, and a variety of Indian and Western desserts


Computer Lab
The institute has a well-equipped state-of-the-art wi-fi enabled and air-conditioned Computer Lab. which are loaded with a PMS software that provides students learning and practice on operating a property management system as found in five-star hotels. This lab. is used by students for presentation work, research, notes, homework and appearing for computer-based or online examinations.


Classrooms with AV
The Classrooms in MAIIHM are well designed for providing a pleasant learning atmosphere for the students. The classrooms are provisioned with a whiteboard and Bluetooth connected projector, enabling the faculties to use audio-visual mode of teaching to make learning a fascinating experience for the students.


Banquet Hall
MAIIHM features an air-conditioned Auditorium that doubles as a Banquet Hall for hosting various events and functions. This facility offers students practical knowledge and skills in function catering, event setup, and management, preparing them for real-world hospitality scenarios.


Student Dining Zone
The campus building is in the form of an atrium, and the central courtyard, with a fibre glass rooftop covering, has been set up as a Student Dining Zone, complete with food service counters, tables and chairs, mobile charging facilities, etc. The area shall also host various theme dining events to be organized by the students.

Library
The Library in MAIIHM is a temple of knowledge for both students and teachers, providing a wealth of information across various subjects related to hospitality. The library boasts a wide range of books on all areas of hospitality and tourism, gastronomy, beverages and different aspects of hospitality business management. The library also offers access to e-journals and digital learning material through the Wi-Fi enabled computer terminals provided within the library premises to support the students’ academic and research needs.

Auditorium & Conference Facilities
MAIIHM firmly believes in providing its students exposure to national and international knowledge experts, through regular national and international workshops and conferences hosted on campus. It is with this view that modern conference facilities have been meticulously planned and incorporated into the campus with air-conditioned auditorium and multi-purpose hall, board rooms, etc.
- The Auditorium, located on the ground floor, has been built with centralized air-conditioning, Wi-fi service and a stage along with green rooms, perfect amount of lighting and good quality sound system. This auditorium is slated for utilization for various events and conferences.
- The Multi-purpose Hall, located on the 2nd floor, has the capacity to host a large audience for various academic and co-curricular events and activities.
- The air-conditioned Board Rooms shall host Campus Interviews and board meetings.

Housekeeping Lab
MAIIHM’s Housekeeping Lab is designed to simulate real-world hotel environments, offering students hands-on experience in various housekeeping tasks. Key features include:
- Cleaning Equipment and Agents: A range of manual and mechanical cleaning equipment, along with various cleaning agents, are available for students to learn proper usage and maintenance.
- Surface Care Demonstrations: The lab provides demonstrations on cleaning different types of surfaces, such as various floorings and fabrics, enhancing students’ understanding of appropriate cleaning techniques.
- Chambermaid’s Trolley: Students are trained in setting up and using a chambermaid’s trolley, essential for efficient room servicing.
MAI Institute - Fabric Displays: Exposure to different fabric types helps students learn appropriate cleaning methods and care procedures.

Laundry Room
The Laundry & Linen Room at MAIIHM provides students with practical knowledge of laundry operations, mirroring real hotel laundry services. Features include:
- Industrial Laundry Machines: Students are trained on the operation of industrial-grade washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment, essential for handling large volumes of linen.
- Linen Management: The facility includes storage racks and cupboards for organizing linens, along with a linen exchange window to simulate hotel linen distribution systems.
MAI Institute - Uniform Care: Training encompasses the laundering and maintenance of staff uniforms, emphasizing the importance of appearance and hygiene in the hospitality industry.
