Internships in the Hospitality Industry or Industrial Training offer valuable hands-on experience to hotel management students and can be a stepping stone to a successful career. Internships in professionally managed hospitality organizations can help students build upon their classroom studies, gain real-world experience, and imbibe the culture and business of hospitality. It allows students to gain exposure to different departments and job functions, helping them clarify their career goals and aspirations.

The Training and Placement (T&P) Cell of MAIIHM nurtures relationships with the hospitality and tourism industry and actively seeks work opportunities for the students through its extensive network of industry partners, luxury hospitality establishments and international brands, enabling students to undertake internship in India and at international locations in five-star hotels and resorts and other hospitality organizations.

The T&P Cell organizes specialized workshops on grooming, body language, technical sessions, communication skill building workshops, one-on-one coaching sessions, career pathway consultations and career exhibitions for the students to make them industry-ready.

MAIIHM arranges internship programs of 6-months’ duration, which enables students to gain industry experience and also build their network, even before they graduate, empowering them to connect to the top-most hospitality professionals and organizations, gain mentorship, and access potential job opportunities in the future.

Training is usually required to be undertaken in the four core departments – Food Production (Kitchen and Bakery & Confectionery), Food & Beverage Service, Front Office and Housekeeping. The departments in which a student will undergo training shall vary as per the course selected and the internship opportunities provided by respective training organizations.
